I like to detach gifts from suggestive holidays as well as removing the obligation to receive a gift. As a poly-lover, it could be perceived as both greedy or a blessing in disguise if everyone within your “polycule” bought you a gift. There’s so many other ways to celebrate the important people in your life. One of the best gifts whether you’ve been dating for 6 months or married for 16 years is spontaneity.
Spontaneity is authenticity! Actions are important on so many levels whether calculated or in the moment. Kissing comes in different languages. Sharing a kiss with your partner(s) as they enter or leave the house is one of the many ways to acknowledge their presence and what they bring to your life.
